On July 9, 2014, a man in a FedEx uniform knocked on the door of a house in Sprint, Texas. Minutes later, six members of the Stay family were dead but one was not. The intruder however, didn't know this. 15-year-old Cassidy played d**d, waited for the man to leave, and then called 911.

This single act of courage prevented ever further family deaths.

None of this though would have happened if this man wasn't free to do what he wanted. Years of domestic abuse orders, years of falling through the cracks, all led up to this moment.
